Hunting on approach

Beceite, Gredos, Sierra Nevada and Ronda

I suggest you come and hunt the ibexes of GREDOS, BECEITE and RONDA.

Airplane.

Very friendly stay, exceptional territories !

It is the largest and most mythical of the four subspecies of Iberian Ibex.  With its imposing lyre-shaped trophy and its dark grey dress decorated with two white spots on the side, the ibex of GREDOS is the desire of all hunters !

It is the second subspecies of ibex in number and size, just after GREDOS. The classic shape of its horns is called «by plane», very open to the sides, although there are sometimes some ibexes with trophies in the shape of «lyre», which is much more marked.

The Ibexes of Ronda and Sierra Nevada are the two Iberian subspecies of ibex considered to be the smallest in size.  These two subspecies are hunted in Andalusia.  The ibex of Sierra Nevada is found in the mountains of the same name, which are located in the province of Granada.  These are the highest mountains in Western Europe after the Alps, with a maximum altitude of 3482 metres on Mount Mulhacen.  The colour of the ibex in Sierra Nevada is lighter than that of the ibexes in Gredos and Beceite, but darker than that of Ronda.  There are different shapes of horns but the most characteristic shape is more open and the Ronda shape closes in a shape similar to that of a ram.

The Ronda ibex is the smallest subspecies of Iberian ibex. It can be recognized by its straight and closed trophy with a curve to the back.  Its colour is the lightest of all ibexes. It is hunted in the Ronda mountain range, in the province of Málaga and in some sierras in the province of Cadiz.  It is hunted in medium altitude mountains where the climate is very mild, except in the winter months. A Ronda ibex with a trophy 60 centimetres long is considered a good representative trophy.
